Schools Home

My very first school was De Beauvoir, near Dalston Junction. I didn’t stay here long, and my memories of it are pretty hazy. I can just about remember being forced to take a Cod Liver Oil capsule and then spewing up all over the playground, but that’s just about it.

In truth, I don’t know why I went to De Beauvoir, because my next school, St. Jude’s, was much closer to home. In fact, there was a back door from one of the cloakrooms that was directly opposite our house in Queen Margaret’s Grove.

After St. Jude’s, I went to Highbury County.

The following pages give an approximate idea of those dark days. Navigation throughout this site and related sites (sub-domains) is by means of the buttons in the left margins, plus some, but not many, additional links. Clicking on the 'Family Crest', at the top left on any page, will take you back to the home page.
